Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The Essential requires an active Johns Hopkins affiliation for all future and current residents. So, if you study or work with Hopkins, we would love to welcome you home! All residents are required to provide a guarantor when applying at The Essentail.

What is a guarantor?
A guarantor is someone who holds a secondary financial responsibility for your lease agreement. Typically, guarantors are a parent or guardian. Your guarantor must reside in the United States and be at least 24 years of age to qualify.

If you have no guarantor to add to your application, please contact The Essential Office for further instruction on applying.
